PIN Calls
PIN Call is a network security feature that requires a PIN
Code every time you make a call. You can activate or
deactivate it and specify the numbers in your PIN Code.
Please check with your operator for the availability of PIN
Calling in your network.
Note: If you are using the phone in an area that doesn’t
require PIN dialing, deactivate PIN Call.
Activating PIN Call

Enter
* # 7 4 6 2 2 5 5 # (spells PINCALL).
2 The phone asks for your four-digit
PIN Code, which is provided by
your network operator. Enter your
PIN code and press
OK.
The phone briefly displays
PIN
CALL ON

Making PIN Calls

Make the call as usual (refer to “Making a Call” on
page 13).
The phone displays
PIN CALL

2 After you hear a tone, press
SEND again.
The phone displays
SENDING PIN ...
. If the
message remains on the display, press
SEND again to
resend the PIN code. Wait for your call to be
connected.
Note: If you’re in a network that doesn’t support PIN Calls,
but your phone has PIN Call On, the phone still tries to
send a PIN. Press
CLR to end the PIN Call attempt.
Note: When the phone is set to
PIN CALL ON
, an
emergency call to the emergency number programmed
into your phone (e.g., 911 or another official emergency
number) will be dialed as a normal call without the PIN
code request.
Deactivating PIN Call

Follow the steps in “Activating PIN Call”, but don’t
enter your PIN Code at the prompt; just press
OK.
